| WORKSHOPS run by INKY CUTTLEFISH in partnership with WF MENCAPThe Olympic Tile ProjectThe legacy and magic of the Olympic Project is that the final result will be the coming together of many projects run at community events with participants coming from a wide range of backgrounds, ethnicities, faith groups and abilities. The final piece will be pulled together into a cohesive whole in that all the pieces are the same size and will make a lovely colourful mosaic – a fitting metaphor for what LBWF community is.About WF MencapMencap is the voice of learning disability. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability and their families and carers.

Fantastic family weekend of entertainment, live music, children’s shows, drama, workshops, stalls, sport activities – a colourful and musical event lasting two days for you to enjoy.

Waltham Forest MENCAP and Inky Cuttlefish Studios
This is our interpretation of all things green and includes nature, plant-life, fertility and growth. As you can see sometimes we haven’t treated the theme literally! The exhibition is a testament to Waltham Forest MENCAP and the work they do for their community. The theme Shades of Green is both a literal and metaphorical for Waltham Forest, the idea of community and the different aspects and shades that make it so diverse. It showcases only one part of the work and dedication that WF MENCAP brings to their service users and includes photos and work showing their participation in a wide variety of local activities over the past year (Sep09-Aug10) including the Fellowship Art Challenge, Green Fair, Mela, Caribbean Carnival, E17 Art Trail. Inky Cuttlefish Studios runs workshops and an engagement programme with WF MENCAP. We have invited a few artists to respond to the ‘Shades of Green’ theme. This is first joint exhibition that includes the personal work of the artists that are involved in running these workshops.===

| Studio Space and Printmaking FacilitiesInky Cuttlefish Studios is a group of artist run spaces and printmaking studio located a minute from Blackhorse Road Station (Victoria Line Tube and British Rail). Please note there is NO parking available outside the studio.Please let us know if you are interested in hiring the printmaking space. We are offering open access on Wednesday and Saturdays. The bookings are first come first serve. Please see the open access section for more information. We also have opportunities to use the printmaking studio outside normal opening hours - please contact us for more information. |

We will also be running workshops, and offering exhibition opportunities to both studio artists and outside artists (please see the Associated Artists section for information on how you can get involved.) | |
